PM Narendra Modi Laid Foundation for Multiple Rail Projects of worth Rs Rs 9,750 Crore in Haryana

PM Narendra Modi, on 16 February, laid the foundation for multiple rail projects worth Rs 9,750 crore in Rewari, Haryana. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and dedicated several projects at an event in Rewari.

While addressing the public rally, he mentioned that “In the last 10 years, there has been unprecedented development in Haryana from connectivity to public facilities.” Appreciating the Haryana Government for their work, he mentioned that “Haryana making a huge name for itself in the textile and apparel industry.” “Haryana is emerging as a top state for investment, and increasing investment means an increase in new job opportunities”, he further added.

Here is the list of projects PM Modi laid the foundation for and inaugurated:

  1. Doubling of Rewari-Kathuwas rail line (27.73 Km)
  2. Doubling of Bhiwani-Dobh Bhali rail line (42.30 Km)
  3. Doubling of Kathuwas-Narnaul rail line (24.12 Km)
  4. Doubling of Manheru-Bawani Khera rail line (31.50 Km)
  5. Laid the foundation of the Gurugram Metro Rail project worth Rs 5,450 crore. The total length of the line is 28.5km
  6. Laid the foundation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari, which would be built for Rs 1,650 crore
  7. Inaugurated an experiential museum ‘Anubhav Kendra’ at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra
  8. Flags off trans service on Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line

While addressing the gathering, PM Modi further added “Haryana is emerging as a good state for investment, and increasing investment means an increase in new job opportunities.”

The new Rohtak-Meham-Hansi rail line of 68km will minimize the travel time between Rohtak and Hisar substantially. The new project will help improve train connectivity and help rail passengers travel more conveniently.

Gurugram Metro Rail Project

The Gurugram Metro Rail project was laid by PM Modi and will provide a better metro public transport system for the people of Gurugram. Having a length of 28.5km, the project will connect Millennium City Center to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and further join the existing Rapid Metro rail network near Cyber City.

With this project, people will have a world-class metro transport system in place in addition to the existing one.

AIIMS Rewari

It must be noted that AIIMS Rewari will be built on 203 acres of land at village Majra Mustil Bhalkhi in Rewari, Established under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), it will have various amenities for the people, including a vast hospital complex with 720 beds, medical college with 100 seats, AYUSH block, residential accommodation, and more.

The facilities in AIIMS Rewari will include 18 specialities and 17 super specialities including Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, and more.

Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar, Kurukshetra

During the event, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the vast complex of an experiential museum – Anubhav Kendra Jyotisar in Kurukshetra. Built at an expenditure of around Rs 240 cores, the complex spans around 17 acres of land, having almost 10,000 square feet of space. People visiting the museum will get to experience top-class technologies and amenities, including Augmented Reality (AR), projection mapping, and more. Do note that Kurukshetra is the same place where Arjuna received the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita from Krishna.
